I've knitted alot of things already. Small and simple things, like a scarf, but never anyting 'big'. Well, that is going to change ! I decided that I needed a 1940s cardigan. Usually my mother knits for me but this time I'd like to try it myself. Finding the right pattern was not easy. At all. It had to be a rather simple pattern because I am a beginner and I greatly prefer thick needles and thick yarn. After searching for a long time, I found a pattern for the '
Date-maker cardigan', from 1946. This cardigan is also worn by Rachel Mcadams in the movie 'The Notebook' (One of my favourites !). As I started knitting, I felt a bit nervous because this is my very first big project. But the pattern is really easy and I like it so much and cannot wait to see the finished product !
Soon I can start shaping the armholes !
Do you like knitting ?
with love,
Jip.

I love knitting! I'm not sure if I'm able to participate in the knitalong. I have to finish a sweater and then I have to crochet a christmas gift.
Good luck with your cardi, it looks beautiful!
Me too ! The knit-along ends January 31st, so that's almost 3 months. I'm sure you can participate.
Thank you ! :)
How splendidly exciting! I'm not a knitter myself, but I certainly admire (and love wearing) the art and those with the skill to do it.
Wishing you all the best with your project!
